MATERIAL SYSTEM / LAVA

You do not pipe lava. You change its state.

The current transport answer is a material chain: freeze lava, break the solid state, move it, then ignite it again where the factory needs heat.

DIRECT ANSWER

How to move lava

Find natural lava in the deep Lava Cave. Freeze it into Scoria, break the Scoria into Cinder, transport the Cinder as a solid, then ignite it back into lava at the destination. Normal fluid pipes are not the transport method.

LOCATION

Go deep for the natural source

Current official documentation places natural lava in the deep Lava Cave.

03

HEAT / REACTION

Use lava as controlled heat

Current documentation describes direct burning interactions, including material held in filters.

OFFICIAL MECHANIC

Filter-held burning

Lava trapped in a filter can ignite burnable material that passes through the setup. The filter is part of the material-control logic, not decoration.

OFFICIAL MECHANIC

Residue and flowers

The documented use cases include automating the burning of Residue and flowers. Keep the heat source contained and the route observable.

04

LAYOUT LOGIC

Separate transport from reaction

A readable lava system has a cold side, a transfer line, and a hot side.

01 · COLD SIDEScoria → Cinder

Make the resource safe to move.

02 · TRANSFERSolid logistics

Keep the Cinder route separate.

03 · HOT SIDEIgnite → control

Restore lava beside the reaction.

VERIFIED VISUALIZATION This diagram explains the documented state logic. It is not a copyable blueprint or a claim about optimal tile ratios.

06

FAULT FINDER

Why the lava line stops

01You are trying to put lava into a normal pipe

Use the documented state-change route. Convert lava to Scoria, break it into Cinder, transport the solid, and reignite at the destination.

02Scoria reaches the line but does not move as expected

Scoria is the frozen state; the transport step is Cinder. Confirm the break step occurs before the transfer route.

03The destination has Cinder but no heat

The final state change is missing. Provide the current ignition method at the destination and verify that the hot zone is contained.

04An old guide uses Slag or Kinetic Slag Press

That terminology belongs to older evidence. Re-check the current Early Access names before following the layout.
