TOOL COMPATIBILITY
What works—and what does not
The current Crackstone page defines two explicit failures and a broader working class.
Switch tools; more attempts will not solve the compatibility problem.
Use a digging tool rather than a weapon.
Use an available digging tool appropriate to your current progression.
Break it to clear terrain, not to collect a resource.
QUICK PROCEDURE
The three-step fix
- 01IDENTIFY
Confirm the block is Crackstone
Do not diagnose every hard tile as the same material. Use the current UI or material information available in your run.
- 02STOP
Put away the Shovel or Gun
Their failure is expected behavior against Crackstone, not evidence that the tile is bugged.
- 03SWITCH
Use another digging tool
Destroy the terrain and continue. Do not wait for a material drop; the current documented yield is none.
VERSION TRAP
Ignore the “Rocket Launcher only” claim
Old Demo evidence conflicts with the current official revision.
DIAGNOSIS
Still cannot break it?
- 1Re-check the material name
The visual appearance alone may not be enough to identify the terrain.
- 2Confirm you switched tool classes
Changing from one failing use of the same class does not test the documented answer.
- 3Check your game branch
If the behavior differs from the current official page, note the version before trusting a legacy fix.
- 4Do not expect a drop
No material appears after success, so terrain removal—not inventory change—is the completion signal.
